Esshu Sakura Biyori Ginjo SE10 "Cherry Blossom Season"

Four Hot Words: Clean, Soft, Light-fruit, & Etherial

First and foremost, Esshu is drinking great this season! The nose is splendid collection of cherry, plum, white raisin, and sweet rice aromas, which translates into the flavor nicely. Bright and clean with a dash of fruit tones but overall a dry drinking experience. This is extremely well balanced sake with hidden fresh flavors such as cherry, melon, pear and sweet rice on a flow that dances through the palate. Sakurabiyori gets softer in a larger glass and gets a little creamy as it warms. The low alcohol content makes this super sipping sake perfect for those who like dry, light and pristine sakes that have the feeling of drinking gorgeous water. WORD: Gentle WINE: Soft reds/Dry whites BEER: Light ales FOODS: Sushi and Sashimi for sure! Light fare with a hint of saltiness.
