Ohyama Tokubetsu Junmai “Big Mountain”
This Junmai has a nose of caramel and bananas. A smooth start is followed by a mellow fruit middle with strawberry tones and finishes with a dry ending. The thin viscosity plays with a hidden acidity to achieve a round and smooth crispness, which leaves a prolonged lingering flavor of cooked pears and subtle minerals. This is a classic dry sake that tastes fruitier than it really presents itself. WORD: Snappy WINE: Pinot Grigio/Dry Whites BEER: Ambers /Octoberfest Releases FOODS: Sautéed fish dishes, fresh oysters in a vinaigrette, steamed crab and lobster.
