The nose on this really unique sake is a splendid play of cream, yeast, nut, and yougurt elements. This brew is very much outside the box, and that is what makes it so appealing to sake pros and rookies alike. Firstly it drinks great so jump right in new guy! That said take a look at the color of this “semi” nigori that means it’s more misty than fluffy. Wait you say you don’t like nigoris? Me either, but this baby is so much more so stand down. Creamy, round, and semi-sweet it drinks more like an adventure and add that yellowish hue and you know this sake is different. There are a lot of koji or sweet rice flavors, mixed with cream and cream cherry and a hint of coconut. It drinks far dryer than the flavor and the roundness of the sake fills the pallet with smooth goodness. This is a great exploration sake that will lead you to conquer new planets! WORD: Smooth WINE: Fruity reds/Soft sweet whites BEER: Fluffy Belgians FOODS: Great with international spice.

Prefecture: Shiga
