Seikyo Omachi Junmai Ginjo Nama SE11 "Mirror of Truth"

Four Hot Words: Bight, Lively,Ricey/Fruity, & Food-friendly

This is a seasonal released sake. Call True Sake at 415-355-9555 for availability, size, and pricing.

The nose on this seasonally released unpasteurized sake is one of the great reminders to smell your sakes people – what a nose filled with grassy, grainy, green grape, melon and fruit tones. If the color green were to have an aroma this sake would be it. This brew is one of those truly amazing sakes that is both fruity and grainy, but neither drinks sweet nor too dry. A big and tasty sake that is fat and fun and loaded with attitude and wonderful flavors such as kiwi, blueberry, melon, grape, and breakfast cereal. Omachi is a vintage rice varietal and you can taste its unique flavor in this sake, which is flavor forward with a hint of a tail. If you like sakes with personality plus then this nama is your cup of tea, but I recommend a larger glass to bring out more acidity and far more flavors. WORD: Tasty WINE: Big reds with tingle/Zesty Whites BEER: Crisp Ales FOODS: Very food friendly with spicy fare, veggies, seafood, and off the grill savories.

Prefecture: Okayama
SMV: +3
Acidity: 1.5
