Keiko Sakamoto, the seventh President of Tsunikoi, became extremely passionate about creating organic sake while her husband Kazuhiko was battling cancer. In the end he lost his battle, but Keiko continued her life’s mission of creating super organic sake for the sake market. In 2004 she introduced her first effort called “Nanotsuki.” Using Miyamanishiki rice and following strict organic guidelines these brews have become famous all over Japan as a pure representation of Organic Sake. We selected the Nanotsuki 80 over the 60, because we liked the more ricey flavor of the sake, which results in more umami in each glorious sip. They love their organic rice so much that they incorporate in their labels. Take a look! You can see several grains under the label. How cool is that? Well, the good news is that not only does the sake look cool, but it drinks great!
