Sake News – Tamagawa “Ice Breaker” EXCLUSIVE 1.8L Bottles (Isshobin) Are Back
Literally the most famous “Summer Sake” in all of Japan is the brew created by the legendary master sake maker Philip Harper in his Kyoto brewery with the brand name Tamagawa. And his Tamagawa “Ice Breaker” (nama or unpasteurized) is a sensation every summer when it is as hot as heck and you need a little cooling magic. And guess what? Philip and his exporter World Sake Imports love True Sake and they give us permission and allocation to sell the 1.8L bottles EXCLUSIVELY at True Sake.
Yup, whenever you see photos from your friends in Japan or just visiting showing the famous blue bottle with the penguin and the ice cube in large format at all the “cool” sake bars and Izakaya’s over there, just know you can get them here and they are the best to bring to parties or just have for home consumption, because they are very durable/stable after opening. And that is one of Philip’s sake’s greatest assets!
We do not ship the 1.8L bottles (best for in-store pickup), but we do sell this brew in a 500ml bottle. Although we suggest you go BIG for home! They are EXCLUSIVE and we don’t have a lot. They are mostly gone by November when we celebrate Isshobin “1.8L” Month. So act now before that penguin slides away!
