Discover the Sake Heartland of Japan
Join Jizake Quest for an immersive sake brewery tour through Japan’s Niigata region. Over seven days and six nights, you’ll visit seven sake breweries, from renowned names like Hakkaisan and Imayotsukasa to some exceptional jizake producers tucked away in some less-visited corners of Niigata.

This is far more than a brewery tour. It’s an opportunity to step behind the scenes, meet the brewers who make the sake, experience traditional Japanese culture firsthand and develop a deeper appreciation for what’s in your glass.

Whether you’re new to sake or already an enthusiast, you will learn how to taste and understand different sake grades and styles, taught by a sake educator and an international sake sommelier.

Experience Niigata Beyond the Breweries
Beyond the brewery visits, your journey features hands-on cultural experiences:

  • Make your own sake cup using Tsuchime hammering methods

  • Learn taiko from a member of the world-famous group “Kodo”

  • Make your own soba noodles from scratch

  • Put your new sake tasting skills to use by creating your own custom sake blend assemblage to take home.

All local transportation and accommodation in Niigata are included, with one night in a relaxing onsen ryokan. All meals are included, except one evening when you may choose to join an optional izakaya night out in Niigata City. On that night, the guides will lead you to two carefully selected sake bars/izakayas (guests pay for their own food and drinks).

The tour begins with a special opening night dinner featuring geisha entertainment. This is a rare opportunity to experience traditional geisha entertainment – a memorable highlight, especially if you have never attended such a performance before.

Reserve Your Space
The tour size is limited to 8-10 guests, and commitments must be finalized by October 16, 2026. For the detailed itinerary or to reserve your place, contact:
