Suisen Yukikko Junmai Nigori "Snow Child"

From Ofunato in Iwate Prefecture and introduced in 1970, Yukikko has a 50+ year history! This Nigori is thick. With some Nigoris, you get a sense of thickness. But Yukikko is a "blizzard in a glass", with zero percent visibility.

Aromas of pear, rice, peach, and rock sugar on the nose. With a Sake Meter Value of -25, this is a sweet and fruity sake. We get flavors of rice, banana, and peach. This Nigori contains a higher concentration of sake lees than traditional Nigori, giving it a rich and silky mouthfeel. Pairs very well with spicy Korean and Thai cuisine, as well as with cheese. Definitely served chilled.
