The nose on this aged sake is a gentle collection of honey, melted butter, sea salt, butter popcorn, toffee, simple syrup, and walnut aromas. Say hello to a very friendly introduction to aged sake. Smooth, round, soft, slippery, and slightly thin, this brew drinks water-like with nice aged sake components. Look for cooked orange, honey, sweet butter, almond, sweet tea, soy sauce, nutty, and earthy flavors on drinkable light flow that is a great glimpse at how aged sake tastes in the glass. If you have ever wanted to “experience” another expression of sake, this is a perfect Koshu starting point.
