Talk about packaging look at that polar bear! The nose on this cloudy sake is gentle collection of yogurt, white grape, and blueberry aromas. If you are a Nigori fan then welcome to the big leagues in the Nigori world. This unfiltered sake is a Junmai Ginjo, which means it’s more elegant and balanced than your usual Nigori. Creamy, clean, with a lot of complexity this smooth and elegant Nigori has an 18% alc. content, but you would never know as the flavor and feeling of the fluid is perfectly matched (balanced). It’s rich but smooth. It’s light but full. It’s clean but milky, which makes this a great example of a high end Nigori. It drinks dryer than most Nigoris, but there are a lot of melon, pear, berry, and sweet rice flavors floating around in those clouds.
