This brewery is famous for making Kimoto or pole-rammed sake in the traditional method and they received the first Gold Medal for a Kimoto Daiginjo in the history of the Japanese National Competition. Heavenly Flower is a supremely hand-crafted sake that celebrates this historic achievement. From the painstakingly effort to select perfect grains of Yamadanishiki brewing rice grain by grain – literally! – to aging this sake for the perfect matured flavor it is as much a work of art as the amazing pewter embossed bottle with a glass cap that was made in Germany. And talk about a complex sake with a profound deep richness and chewy characteristics. A red wine drinkers ultra Daiginjo for certain.
