Beau-Zone Layer – Takenotsuyu Junmai “Bamboo Tears”

Beau-Zone Layer – Takenotsuyu Junmai “Bamboo Tears”
From Yamagata Prefecture. Junmai. SMV: +2 Acidity: 1.4

This Beau Zone selection is a tribute to Sake Day 2015 – the Tenth Anniversary! Why? Because the guy who owns this brewery is a huge fan of Sake Day and True Sake and he had to miss the event this year!

I am proud to say that this is the first sake that I named! Rather than Bamboo Dew I said why not call it Bamboo Tears and Masao-san said, “I like it!”

And so this very smooth and lush Junmai became “branded”! It is a very easy drinking Yamagata-style Junmai that has body and a very good acidity play! It become more round chilled but opens up and gets more flavorful as the fluid warms.

You will have tears of your own when you enjoy Bamboo Tears!
