Okay! I’ll just go out and say it! Some sake drink like the season. It’s fall and starting to get a little chilly, or in SF’s case starting to get hot. But in general, fall means rich, and there are a whole line of fall draft sake called Hiyaoroshi sake. This is not one of those, but it is a sake that drinks rich and very fall-like. Look for nougat, caramel, and maple syrup in this traditionally made sake that is a play on fermentation styles to way back in the day. It is very solid, and has a great mouth feel that would pair with your autumn duck, venison, and other gamey meats. As the leaves change colors this “9” gets set to be a part of your rich and savory fall menu!
