Sake Support – August “YUHO” Month (UPDATE)

Last month we announced in the Newsletter that August was “Yuho” month to help out a very well loved sake brewery in Ishikawa Prefecture called Mioya Sake Brewery. The owner Miho Fujita is so widely known in the sake world that several great people took it upon themselves to start a program called Operation Yuho to help Miho navigate these terrible COVID waters.

The Yuho brand is very popular at True Sake, and we sell a lot of her brew. But to make more of an impact we took 25% off both Yuho products – the Junmai “Eternal Embers” and the Yamahai Junmai “Rhythm of the Centuries.”

So did it work?

The answer is a resounding yes! We sold 14 cases of Yuho sake in one month. But who is this “we” that I speak of? The “we” in this context is you amazing super sake souls. Our amazing customers stepped up and moved 84 bottles in a glorious show of their sake concern and support. Miho still has an uphill climb, but “we” have her back and we are in it for the long haul. We are your partners Miho, and we will do our part each and every bottle at a time. Go Yuho!
