SAKE DAY’25 – Welcome Sake - Sequoia - Kuramotos

Woot! It’s SAKE DAY Month and there are less than 20 days until SAKE DAY 2025 which is the 20th Anniversary! So, of course we will have an amazing Welcome Sake right? Heck Yah! This year’s Welcome Sake will be the world famous Junmai Daiginjo from Heiwa Shuzo also known as “Kid.” And guess what? The owner of the brewery and their toji will be at SAKE DAY this year, so get your questions ready!

We also received a cool note from Jake Myrick of Sequoia Sake, who has a very cool secret for the attendees of SAKE DAY:

Sequoia Sake at SAKE DAY 2025
We are honored to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of SAKE DAY with Beau Timken and the incredible True Sake team. Since our very first SAKE DAY in 2016, Sequoia has been proud to support Beau's vision of bringing the joy of sake to San Francisco and beyond. It takes passion, dedication, and teamwork to make an event like this possible, and we are deeply grateful to Beau and his crew for building such a vibrant stage for sake.

This year, we're excited to pour three of our customers' favorites: our lively Sparkling Sake, our signature Sequoia Nigori ("The Bunny"), and the bold Habanero Sake. But that's not all—whispers are swirling about a new release, one born from chaos, steel, and a touch of madness. Something fierce is lurking, ready to slice its way into SAKE DAY. - Jake Myrick

And lastly, we have a record number of sake brewery owners attending SAKE DAY for the 20th Anniversary. These awesome people have decided to spend the day with you speaking the sake gospel and giving you the sake owner’s perspective. And I am certain that most will invite you to visit them at their brewery on your next trip to Japan, so taste like super stars and have some fun questions. Also, for the first time in our two decades, the Consulate General of Japan will have a table at SAKE DAY to give you the global perspective on this worldly libation.

Please visit our @sakedaysf Instagram account for special features on brewery owners, Sake Samurai, and other fun components of SAKE DAY’25 – we might even give you a sneak peak at the VERY collectable SAKE DAY’25 tasting cup, which cost three times as much as our normal cup!
