The nose on this prototypical neutral sake (not too fruity, not too dry) is a gentle collection of mild rice, mineral water, apple, wheat, and balsa wood aromas. This is a super user friendly sake that is so drinkable and light, that it tastes like dry water! Yup, I said it, “dry water.” Look for steamed rice, pear, kiwi, and dried apple hints on a gentle and balanced flow that does well chilled and room temperature. As the sake warms, a peek-a-boo vein of white chocolate emerges. Smooth, soft, clean, and dry, this brew is as easy as they come.
