The “Beau Zone Layer” – Oze No Yukidoke “IWC”

Gunma Prefecture

Junmai Ginjo Namazume

SMV: +5 Acidity: 1.5

As many of you know, I am a Co-Chairman on the sake side of the International Wine Challenge in London that is the largest commercial sake tasting in the world. The IWC is an amazing event that features some of the best sake judges in the world and I am very proud of the tasting. When brews win Gold Medals it means something. It really means something! Sadly, most of us taste the IWC medal winning brews after the fact, meaning in another brewing year. The brewery wins a medal and then makes more of that sake in subsequent years, which we proudly sell and you get to enjoy. But it’s not the exact bottle that won the award. We currently have 25 bottles of the actual sake that was judged and awarded a Gold Medal. So, you in fact can taste the sake that won, albeit aged a little bit now. It’s an awesome brew, and if you’re a lover of Gunma Prefecture’s Ryujin Brewery and their brand Oze No Yukidoke then this is a must. Get it before it's gone, because when it’s gone, it’s gone!
